Dr. Ray Raven is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty certification in Surgery of the Hand and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. He serves as Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and maintains a clinical practice focused exclusively on disorders and injuries of the hand and upper extremity.
Dr. Raven completed fellowship training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Columbia University St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. His additional training includes advanced study in wrist surgery and biomechanics in Barcelona and pediatric hand surgery at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. He has authored peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has held leadership roles including President of the California Orthopaedic Association and Expert Reviewer for the Medical Board of California.
Dr. Raven is licensed to practice medicine in California, Nevada, and Hawaii. He provides independent medical evaluations, impairment assessments, record reviews, and expert testimony in personal injury, medical malpractice, and complex orthopaedic matters involving the hand and upper extremity. Independent evaluations are performed without a treating physician relationship.
